Kingwood Jazz & Co. was created in 1989 to provide advanced training and performing experience to Jazz students with an emphasis on dance technique, discipline, and stage presence.  We offer quality and interesting performances for the public.  Being a member of Kingwood Jazz & Co. is challenging, but it is also rewarding.  As Director of the Company, my job is to train dancers to always to do their best and be as professional as possible.  I have different expectations of each individual dancer.  My goals are to 1) foster a love of the art of dance; 2) help each dancer achieve the highest level possible; and, most importantly, 3) create a coordinated, supportive group of dancers, who work and function as a team.  Due to this, I am very strict with the dancers concerning performance in class, at dance workshops, and on stage.  The Director is the teacher and disciplinarian, but most of all, the dancer’s friend.
