The goal of the Rowland/Ballard Preschool Academy is to give children a positive learning experience.  Children are introduced to the sights, sounds, and meanings of the alphabet and of numbers, and as they patiently practice the written forms, recognition comes easily.  Children also learn listening skills, practice following directions, participate in sharing, and experience cooperation in a group setting.  Our Academy staff encourages children to express themselves through creative activities and treats each child as an individual, giving attention to personal learning styles and special needs.  Lessons are planned with a focus on necessary fundamentals that prepare children for success in elementary school.  Children will spend two hours per week in creative dance and gymnastics classes, as well as participating in a daily story time and in play time with classmates.  Our program provides an encouraging environment for children to learn and develop.
