August 13, 2021 Update:

ROWLAND BALLARD SCHOOL continues to follow Governor's order.

On August 12, 2021, Harris County issued an order related to masks and other COVID-19 related directives.

The Harris County Order conflicts with the Governor’s order, which states that no person may be required by any jurisdiction to wear or to mandate the wearing, of a face covering. Because the orders conflict, Rowland Ballard School will continue with its current protocols. Face masks remain optional at Rowland Ballard School.

Rowland Ballard School will continue to comply with recommendations issue by the HHSC (Department of Health and Human Services), the DSHS (Department of State Health Services), the DFPS (Department of Family Protective Services), the TEA (Texas Education Agency), and the Health Department.

Rowland Ballard will continue with our enhanced and stringent cleaning protocols at our facilities using a specific chemical and compound designed to combat Covid-19 on a microbial level. and our janitorial service continues to clean each day.

Rowland Ballard will welcome the use of mask and other personal protective equipment.

Rowland Ballard will notify parents if there is a positive case in their child’s class.

Rowland Ballard will require that students or staff with Covid-19 remain away from the school. The Rowland Ballard return to class policy (per CDC guidelines) is that students and staff may return after 7 days of quarantine from the day you test positive if you have a negative test result. Or after 10 calendar days students/staff may return when they are 24 hours symptom free without medication (ex. fever free without medictaion).

Rowland Ballard will ask people who are sick, for any reason, to stay at home.

Rowland Ballard will continue to emphasize frequent hand washing and hygiene.
